I have coveted the duvet covers at West Elm for a long, long time. They always have new contemporary designs. They seem very popular. Here's my favorite:
Something is so fresh about the white pin tucked cover. I was just about ready to commit and had the order form up on my screen, but then I added it up: the prices at the time were $119 for the cover, $25 per sham, plus a whole of shipping and handling. (That cover has since gone on sale to $99). THEN, I'd have to buy the inside part of the duvet. Cue horn: Wa- wah.
Then I did what I always do, I researched it. Obsessively. 'Cause that's how I roll. I found this beauty at Target:
For $85 I got the cover (that did not need an inside filler), and two shams. Sold. I like that it is cotton and not some rayon-polyester mix that will show picks and pulls every time the cat gets near it. And it doesn't feel as heavy as my former cover.
If you give the mouse a crumb soon he'll want a cookie. Stay tuned to see how I started with this cover and designed a whole new bedroom around it.
Do you ever get to the point where you want to scrap everything that's in a room and start all over? If you had it to do over would you pick a different color scheme for your rooms or house? Leave a comment and let me know!
I'm in he middle of "doing it my way" and you're helping!
